It is with deepest regret that we announce the death of our friend and brother, Edgar G. Sulite. We were grieved beyond measure to learn that death has removed him from our midst. The shock of his demise is visibly and profoundly felt by those whom his life and art has touched. Truly, his passing is a great blow to those who knew him.
Edgar was a man of high standards, burning vision and boundless enthusiasm for whatever task he took in hand. No one, whose privilege it was to know him, is likely to forget the directness and sincerity of his speech, the tenacity of his faith, the warm and cheerful brightness of his friendship. He was a great and humble teacher. What he preached, he practiced. What he believed, he believed with heart and soul. He fought hard for his dreams and vision, and, despite the short time granted him by the Almighty, achieved them all.
We join in extending to his bereaved wife, Felisa, and children, Don-don, Mae, Gladys, Andrew and Leslie, our heartfelt sympathy and pray that in the years that lie ahead the good Lord will sustain them and give them peace and health. May you find solace and comfort in the knowledge that Edgar lives in the hearts and minds of many people, in many places, in many ways.
Though death has removed Edgar from our midst, his spirit, influence and legacy will abide with us and his example will be with us for many years. All of us in the Bakbakan and Lameco fraternities have suffered a great loss and his departure leaves a void in our hearts.
We pray the Almighty God may grant him eternal rest.
