Alas, the dark angel has cast its mantle upon us once more. It is with profound grief and deepest regret that we announce the death of our friend and member, Professor Florendo "Vee" Visitacion on January 4, 1999.

In the passing of Prof. Vee, Bakbakan has not only lost a member, but a great and good friend, whose encouragement, counsel, wisdom and warmth meant so much to us over the years. The world of martial arts has lost a leader who gave generously of his knowledge, labor and time. We shall all miss him.

His passing is a great blow to his colleagues and students, for whom intimacy of association added love to the respect accorded him. Those who knew him loved him; the better they knew him the more they loved him.

Prof. Vee now rests in peace, but his noble and resplendent spirit and legacy remains to comfort us. We shall forever treasure his memory deep in our hearts.
